It is the 2nd day of 2012 already!! Boy the year is flying....
Im a happily married mother of a six year old boy and my husband and I both work full time. I have been dieting since I was about 13 years old and have tried almost every diet on earth. After suceeding a couple of times in my life I only put all of the weight back on (plus more) within a year or two. I have a gym membership which I reluctantly use and as of yesterday I have started to eat very very well. Instead of trying another fad diet, I thought I would give the 'Calories In verses Calories Out' option a go. You know - "back to basics". I get stomach cramps when I eat too many carbs so I will be doing a higher protein/lower carb diet (just to suit my stomach) plus Im going to try to eat more natural organic foods instead of processed. Im trying for Gluten free where possible also.
I have never ever 'Blogged' before and am self-learning (which was on my bucket list) and I am hoping that if I write about my ups and downs this year regarding diet / exercise and general things it may give me incentive to keep going.
I am giving myself 12 months. I need to lose a lot of weight in that time but I know I can do it - positive, positive, positive!!!
Yesterday I lived on protein shakes for the first day to kick start everything. It was a challenge as it was a 41 degree day and we had a lot of people visit for a swim in our pool. Guess what everyone bought with them..... booze, junk food and yummy stuff. I was good!!! I stuck to it!!!! Im so proud of myself!!!! Give me a pat on the back!! One day down - 364 days to go!!
I just hit Preview to have a look at my post and the date added at the top is Sunday the 1st (not todays date of Monday the 2nd???) How strange - It is like my past is talking to me...
